As an organization, we are uniting and empowering UCLA’s community to take transformative action as a global leader based on our inherent cultural and ecological responsibilities.
Do you love to volunteer? Do you want to have an impact on the community?
The UCLA Volunteer Center is dedicated to creating a “Community of
Heroes” – enlightened volunteers who are involved in a lifelong
commitment to civic engagement. And, we are looking for students to
further this goal next year.
To achieve this mission, the center works to inspire the more than
400,000 members of the extended UCLA family, as well as the community
at large, to create social change through participation in civic
engagement and volunteer programs. Every year, UCLA Volunteer Center’s
programs range from the Bruin Heroes Award promoting student
achievement, to the university sponsored Volunteer Day in which all
new Bruins participate in a variety of service projects throughout the
community. To achieve these goals, the UCLA Volunteer Center relies
on collaboration between students and staff. The Volunteer Center
Fellows, an integral part of this collaboration, work with the
directors of the Center and relevant entities across campus to outline
and implement the year’s agenda.
